Happy New Year!
Some resources for you
Hello Friends and Happy New Year,
I hope you are well. This time of year brings endless advice and challenges:
Lose weight!
Be more mindful!
Pick your word for the year!
Learn the piano, Italian, or how to cook in 30 easy steps!
It’s hard to resist these. I love a good challenge—the word itself motivates me. Yet all this new year focus can leave me feeling like I should do something, without knowing what. I feel overwhelmed.
But this year, I am not feeling up to any of this. I am still processing the past year. This entire year has been a lesson in accepting what life is, not what I wish it would be.
I want to enter the new year, allowing myself the space to be gentle with myself.
Wherever you are, I invite you to join me in gentleness. Give yourself permission to:
Not have a plan
Not know all the answers.
Not have it all tied up in a tidy package.
Do what your body, heart, and soul need for today.
What are you looking forward to in the new year? How can you be gentle with yourself?
Resources to share.
I have a few resources to share with you:
I purchased my 5th Next Right Thing Journal; this is my favorite journal for reflection.
As a writer I often say that writing helps me make sense of the world. Whether you are a writer or not, I encourage you to sign up for this workshop: Writing as Healing for Caregivers hosted by Chris B. and Jeannie Ewing. (Stay tuned—later this month I will be sharing an interview I did with Chris B.)
Check out this poem by Chris B.
I have a few openings for mentoring this new year! If you are interested, you can chat with me here.
My course is a great way to experience my mentoring style at a reduced price—it involves seven self-paced lessons with videos from me and resources, plus the option to include one-on-one mentoring or online chatting with me. Check it out this New Year!
Thank you so much for being here - please reach out anytime, I love to hear your stories!
Peace,
Amy
